 | HISTORY |
In 1915, a small firm named Palmer and Powell began a legacy of excellence and outstanding service in the practice of law.
Claude Palmer and Clifford Powell founded Parker McCay in 1915, giving it its original name, Palmer and Powell.
Palmer and Powell was a two-man practice in Mount Holly, New Jersey—a practice that would eventually become one of the largest
law firms in southern New Jersey.
In 1934, Harold T. Parker joined the firm as partner, and was soon joined by numerous associates, including two that
would play significant roles in the firm’s future growth: Robert Criscuolo and Albert McCay. In 1948, the firm was renamed
Parker, McCay & Criscuolo.
During the next several decades, the firm continued growing and merging with other successful law firms, ever increasing
the size and expertise of our legal team and the depth of our practice areas.
In 2005, the firm’s name was officially changed to Parker McCay, the abbreviated name by which most clients had already known us.
As a steadfast, thriving organization spanning nine decades of social and cultural change, Parker McCay has a rich
heritage founded upon integrity, value and leadership in professional legal practice. Today, more than 150 attorneys, paralegals
and support staff continue to render the same insightful and reliable counsel the firm has provided clients since the early 1900s.
