Colleen Heckman concentrates her practice in the area of Employment and Labor.
Prior to joining Parker McCay, Colleen worked at a local general litigation firm, but focused her work in business and employment litigation. She handled matters related to wage and hour violations, discrimination and retaliation, breach of contract, restrictive covenants, and business torts. She also has litigation experience in state and federal courts and experience handling mediations, conferences, negotiations, and arbitrations.
While earning her law degree, Colleen was a member and lead editor for the Drexel Law Review where she also served on the Articles Review and Selection Committee. She was also a member of the school’s Business Law Organization and focused her course work on business and employment law. While working her way through law school, Colleen was a law clerk for a firm in Philadelphia, a legal Intern for the Campaign for Working Families Tax Clinic, and an intern for the Family Court Project – Domestic Violence Unit.
Colleen received her law degree from Drexel University School of Law and her bachelor’s degrees in both Political Science and History from the University of Pittsburgh. She recently presented for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on the topic, “Basics of Employment Law.”
She currently resides in Cherry Hill with her husband and enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved English Bulldogs.
