Overview
Alexis Batten concentrates her practice in the area of public finance, with a focus on municipalities, school districts, economic development and redevelopment. She serves as bond counsel and underwriter's counsel for the issuance of tax-exempt and taxable municipal debt, in order to facilitate a wide variety of public projects and programs for local, state and bi-state issuers, including cities, boroughs, townships, counties, school districts, public authorities and bi-state agencies.
Alexis is a frequent lecturer on municipal finance matters, and has recently presented to the Monmouth County Treasurer’s and Tax Collectors Association, the Burlington County Treasurer’s and Tax Collectors Association, the Municipal Clerk Association of New Jersey, the Cape May County Bar Association and at the Annual Conference of the Tax Collectors and Treasurer's Association of New Jersey.
Alexis is a Cape May County native and former college varsity basketball player.

- Bond Counsel to the Lawrence Township Board of Education in connection with the issuance of $18,450,000 aggregate principal amount of School Refunding Bonds.
- Bond Counsel to the Borough of Paulsboro in connection with the issuance of $3,575,000 aggregate principal amount of General Obligation Tax Refunding Bonds.
- Underwriter’s Counsel in connection with the issuance of $25,870,000 aggregate principal amount of General Obligation Refunding Bond issued by the County of Middlesex.
- Bond Counsel to the Township of Gloucester in connection with the issuance of $10,000,000 aggregate principal amount of General Obligation Bonds.
