Women's Leadership Committee Hosts Mentoring Event

December 6, 2018

Parker McCay’s Women’s Leadership Committee (WLC) hosted a mentoring event with the Alice Paul Institute’s (API) Girls’ Leadership Council on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at their Mount Laurel office.

The Girls’ Leadership Council is a group for high school students sponsored by the Alice Paul Institute. Members of the council are young women interested in leadership, activism, and women’s issues on a local, national, and even international level.

The workshop offered an opportunity for these enthusiastic students, who are considering careers in law, to ask questions about how to best prepare now for getting into law school, what majors to consider, what activities are important to join, and how to plan for managing tuition expenses.  Attorneys were able to share their advice about law school planning and survival as well as their experiences being women in the profession.
