Overview
Eliyahu “Eli” Zaghi is the newest associate in Parker McCay’s Commercial Litigation practice area. The Brooklyn native comes to the firm off a clerkship with the Honorable Kathi F. Fiamingo, in NJ Tax and Chancery Court. During his clerkship he drafted legal memoranda, prepared motions, and assisted the judge with drafting opinions.
Prior to his clerkship, he graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. He did his undergraduate schooling at Touro College in Queens, NY, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
During law school, Eli focused his attention on defending some of the marginalized groups in his area. He interned with Sanctuary for Families, where he drafted documents to file uncontested divorce for domestic violence victims. Before that, he worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities, providing care and oversight for their everyday wellbeing.
