Parker McCay's Elizabeth M. Garcia named among Top 25 Women to Watch in South Jersey

Mount Laurel, NJ - Shareholder Elizabeth M. Garcia has been named as one of the twenty-five “Women to Watch 2014” in South Jersey Biz Magazine’s annual profile.  Garcia, Chair of Parker McCay's Labor and Employment Department, is based out of the Mount Laurel office. 

“Women to Watch 2014” honors women who are leaders in their industry and demonstrate a strong commitment to their communities.  Winners are nominated by readers in an online vote and subsequently confirmed by the South Jersey Biz editor department.

A resident of Woolwich Township, Garcia focuses her practice in the areas of labor and employment, civil rights and government liability and matters. She is experienced in providing counsel concerning employment issues arising under federal and state anti-discrimination laws, “whistleblower” laws, family and medical leave statutes, and The Fair Labor Standards Act to public and private sector employers. Garcia also represents clients before the Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) in issues including unfair labor practices, mediations and arbitration.

She serves as treasurer of the Burlington County Bar Association, is a member of the Human Resource and the Nominating Committee of Virtua, and is a board member of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce. She frequently presents on topics such as sexual harassment, Family Medical Leave and The Fair Labor Standards Act.
