Parker McCay congratulates firm alumni, Damon Tyner, who was approved by the Judiciary with the advice and consent of the New Jersey State Senate on Monday to become Atlantic County’s next Prosecutor.
Tyner leaves his job as a New Jersey Superior Court judge to serve the county where he was born and raised. He descends from a family with a long history of public service. His father, Hank, served as Atlantic City Counsel President and worked for 30 years as a city police officer. His brother, Michael, recently retired from the Atlantic City police department. Another brother, Clayton Graham, is a Superior Court judge in Indianapolis.
Influencing Tyner’s decision to take the job was his connection to the community and his determination to implement programs focused on combating the opioid epidemic and gang violence.
Tyner takes office on March 15, 2017.
