Stacy Moore Honored by Southampton Township

November 18, 2019

Parker McCay attorney Stacy Moore was honored last week by Mayor James Young of Southampton Township, New Jersey for his decades-long service to the community.

Mr. Moore celebrated his 40th anniversary with Parker McCay on October 29, 2019.  He began serving as solicitor in Southampton Township in 1980, one year after he joined the firm.  26 years later in 2006, Mr. Moore moved to a part-time schedule and transferred the role to another Parker McCay municipal attorney.  During those 26 years as Southampton solicitor, he assisted the township with eliminating the dumping of waste from local and out-of-state entities. He represented the community through seven years of litigation against Big Hill Landfill which ultimately led to its closing. This outcome was a major win for the township and the county.

On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, Mayor Young surprised Mr. Moore at the township monthly meeting with the reading of a proclamation to make November 12th “Stacy Moore Day” in honor of his long-term commitment to the community.

Mr. Moore is looking forward to beginning his retirement from Parker McCay at the end of 2019.
